The obsidian war club or tomahawk originates with the California Indian tribes. More than 22 ancient obsidian quarry sites were used by all 103 indian tribes that lived on the land we now call California. The earliest trade in obsidian in the United States has been traced to these tribes.

Obsidian is a great choice for a war club or tomahawk and other tools and weapons because it can be knapped so finely that it can be made sharper than the modern surigcal scapels doctors use today. Of course, we haven't made the edge that sharp on this artifact replica, for your safety's sake.

Because this is a handmade artifact replica constructed in the USA only when you order it, the pictures shown are representative and the one you receive will vary slightly.
