Stone Mountain Park – Indian Festival and Pow Wow

The Stone Mountain Park Indian Festival and Pow Wow is billed as the largest Indian festival and pow wow in Georgia. This four day event, starting on Thursday and concluding on Sunday is a great family experience.

The event features demonstrations of primitive skills, such as pottery, bow making, flint knapping, fire starting and open fire cooking.

When: November 7-10, (2019)

The event runs from 9:00 am until 3:00 PM Thursday and Friday, with School Field Trip pricing available. Saturday the event is open from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, with the festival ending on Sunday, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Dance and Drum competitions:

Drum and Dance competitions are held on Saturday and Sunday with Grand Entry at 1:00pm.

Tickets:

Tickets are available to purchase in advance online or at the park, and are $15.00 plus tax for the pow wow and indian festival events, only. An Adventure Pass, which includes other park attractions in addition to the pow wow, is also available. Groups of 15 or more can get a group rate if scheduled 30 days in advance. Event entry is free for Mountain Members and children under three.

Other expenses: Parking is $10.00 per car.
