detail of beaded stone tomahawkThis stone tomahawk is made with the same craftsmanship used in the old days.The stone tomahawk head is approximately 5 1/2 inches across the widest part and about 2 inches high on the widest end, by 1 1/2 inches thick. It is attached to the strong hickory wood handle with real deer rawhide, as it was done in the old days.

The handle is wrapped in buckskin and decoraded with glass seed beadwork in blue with multi-color accents, and coyote fur. The many turkey wing feathers are attached with brass trade beads and brass cones. The handle is also decorated with brass studs. Overall length, including the stone head and wood handle is approximately 18 3/4 inches.

There is a buckskin strap attached for easy hanging.

This artifact replica was hand made in the USA.
