This peace pipe is made with a polished buffalo horn and wood stem. The buffalo horn is about 6" to 8" long, and overall, this pipe is about 18" x18", including the suede hanger and feathers.
You can order this pipe in your choice of bead and leather colors.
The buffalo horn bowl shown is representative. Coloring on individual horns will vary from solid black to black with white patches, usually at the top of the horn. (See the buffalo horns in our craft section for more examples.) The horn is polished to a high gloss shine.
The stem of the pipe is wrapped with your choice of deerskin or suede leather (shown in Berry Pink Suede) and has two rabbit fur wraps. Each fringe has glass crow beads and is tipped with a brass cone. The fringes are decorated with simulated eagle feathers, Lady Amherst pheasant feathers, turkey feathers, and faux mink tails.
The stem of the pipe also has a medicine bag that contains real wolf hair, and is decorated with a muskrat jaw.
Use the dropdown menu below to select the leather color you prefer. If you want crow beads in other colors than the pink and black shown, leave a comment in the comment box on your checkout form.
The buffalo symbolizes abundance. Wolf is known as a teacher and protector. The muskrat is considered sacred. He is industrious and a critical thinker, and represents wealth. The rabbit totem is an instrument of magic and good luck. He brings success and a good attitude to all endeavors. Rabbit is also a symbol of reproduction and abundance. The lesson is to create joy and faithfulness within our friendships, and go forward with anticipation.
