Amethyst Agate Horse Hair Handmade Dreamcatcher with Crystal  89.99
Stock No. RSI-DFAA-HorsehairAgateD

This dream catcher uses natural amethyst stones in the web and an approximately 2" x 4" purple agate slice hangs from the center. The agate slice is semi-translucent and really looks pretty in the sunlight. The agate slice is topped with a quartz crystal that is approximately 1" x 3/4" wide. This dreamcatcher is available in 9", 12" or 15" diameter. The length is approximately 28-34 inches, depending on diameter of the hoop and feather choices.

Hand crafted in the USA.

Each leather fringe is tipped with a brass cone and a bundle of real horse hair. The feathers are a by-product that would have otherwise been thrown away-- no birds were killed specifically for their feathers.

detail of amethyst stones Amethyst has traditionally been used as a dream stone and to help insomnia. Ancient Egyptians used amethyst to guard against guilty and fearful feelings. It has been worn as protection from self-deception, as well as a protection against witchcraft. The amethyst stone has long been used to open the spiritual and psychic centers, making it one of the power stones.

The Dream Catcher Legend
The dream catcher comes from an Ojibwe legend. According to the legend, hanging a dream catcher near a sleeping person causes the bad dreams to be caught in the web, while the good dreams enter through the hole in the middle and drift down the feathers to the sleeping person. Then in the morning, sunlight enters through the hole to melt the bad dreams away.

The beads in a dream catcher represent bad dreams that have been caught. A dreamcatcher can be made more powerful by adding personal totems that have significance to the owner of the dream catcher, such as fur, feathers, stones, beads or claws or bits of horn from the owner's totem animals.

Not produced by a tribal member or a particular indian tribe.
