WHAT: 41st annual Colorado River Indian Tribes Native American Days Fair and Expo
WHEN: October 2 to 6, 2013
WHERE: Manataba Park, Parker, AZ
WHO: Mohave, Chemehuevi, Navajo and Hopi tribes, Open to Public
ADMISSION: $5.00/day or $10.00 for weekend pass for Oct 4 – 6. Admission is free on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct 2 – 3.
This multi tribe event includes a parade, powwow, pageants, carnival, livestock show, fun run, tug ‘o war, traditional games of peon and shinny, food and craft vendor booths, as well as pre expo events such as a fry bread contest and a native American film festival.
The Colorado River Indian Tribes (CRIT) include the Mohave, Chemehuevi, Navajo and Hopi tribes.
Pre-Expo events from Sept. 26 to 28

The third annual Fry Bread Contest will take place in front of Bluewater Cinemas, Saturday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. Participants must have a health card and the entry deadline is Sept. 20. October 2 Events:
The Little Miss CRIT Pageant will be held at 7 p.m., at the Manataba Park stage.
October 3 Events:
The Jr. Miss and Miss CRIT Pageants will be Oct. 3, starting at 7 p.m. at the stage in Manataba Park.
The Tug ‘O War Challenge will be Oct. 3 and is open to the community. There will be men and women’s divisions. Action will get underway at 2 p.m. at Manataba Park. $1,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. There will be no entry fee. October 3 thru 6:
A carnival will be held Oct. 3 to 6 at Manataba Park; the hours will be Oct. 3 – 3 to 11 p.m.; Oct. 4 – 3 p.m. to midnight; Oct. 5 – Noon to Midnight; and Oct. 6 – Noon to 6 p.m.
Carnival tickets are available at CRBM, Parker Area Chamber, Little Brown Jug, CRIT Museum, CRIT Head Start, Joint Venture, CRIT Farms, Bluewater Cinemas and Fascinating Things.
October 4 Events:
The second annual 5k race, 3k stroller race and 3k fun walk will be Oct. 4, starting at 8 a.m. For more information call 928-669-2825.

October 4 to 5:
The 41st annual Native American Days Powwow will be Oct. 4 and 5, at Manataba Park. On Friday and Saturday, Drum Roll Call will start at 6:45 p.m.; Grand Entry will be at 7 p.m.
Northern Host Drum will be The Boyz and Southern Host Drum will be Buc Wild. Northern master of ceremonies will be Dennis Bowen Sr.; Southern master of ceremonies will be Corey Reeder; and Arena Director will be Wayne Silas Jr.
October 5:
The annual parade will be Saturday, Oct. 5 and the lineup will start at 9 a.m., at 16th Street and Joshua Avenue and the route will travel down Joshua to 12th Street.Special guest will be Miss Indian Arizona Angelica Lopez. Parker Pageantry will be Oct. 5, starting at 1 p.m., pageant director is Buni Hooper.
The Gourd Dance will be Oct. 5, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Head Gourd Dancer will be Walter Ahhaitty.
Bird Dance & Singing Contest, 3:00pm to 6:45 p.m.
A Peon Tournament will be Oct. 5, starting at dusk.
October 6 Events:
Hispanic Heritage will be celebrated Oct. 6, starting at 10 a.m. will DJ AJ Venegas, 1:30 p.m. the Apostolic Church; 2:30, Fiesta Mexicana; and 4:30 Cultural Showcase.

October 5 and 6:
An Open Livestock Show will be Oct. 5 and 6, starting at 9 a.m. The Southern Arizona International Livestock Association sanctions the event. Prize money will be at $3,000.
