The Crow Fair and Rodeo is known as the Tipi Capital of the World, with over 1,000 tipis in the encampment. The Battle of the Little Bighorn National Monument and Cemetary is nearby.

Ashland Labor Day Powwow – Ashland, Montana (Runs last weekend of August through Labor Day)
The Ashland Labor Day Powwow is held on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Ashland, Montana.

Crow Fair, Pow Wow and All Indian Rodeo

The Crow Fair Pow Wow and All Indian Rodeo is held the 3rd weekend in August at Crow Agency, Montana. Roughly 50,000 people attend this event, which is open to the public. More than 1,000 tipis are set up on the grounds, plus hundreds more modern tents, campers, and RVs.

National Pow Wow in Washington, DC

Men, women and children from more than 250 American Indian tribes gathered in a large arena to celebrate their culture and honor their military veterans at the 3rd Annual National Powwow (August 10-12) in Washington, D.C. The National Powwow is a biennial event where more than 500 native american dancers come to share their culture.
