Decorative pottery is an inexpensive alternative to traditional native american made pottery, which can be quite costly, since Indian pottery is usually hand made one piece at a time.
Decorative pottery is usually made in a factory, and has a more modern look, which may borrow from native american symbols and traditional geometric patterns, but often comes in pretty pastels or bright decorator colors not atainable with the natural clays and traditional mineral paints used by most traditional native american potters.
If you aren't a serious pottery collector, but are just interested in the aesthetics of a beautiful piece to use for home decorating, this very affordable type of pottery may be for you.
This pottery is not made by a particular indian, or indian tribe.
