I was born at Crow Agency, Montana in the fall of 1950. I don't think I've had a bad day since.

My interest in art began at an early age beyond my memory. I was told that I started to draw before I was three. I started painting in my early 20s.

I am color blind and it took quite some time to realize I needed some help from those around me. I decided to use the colors I see best and before I get too far into a painting, I ask those around me if my choices of colors match this color or that. After that is decided, I go to work.

I went into the Military in the late 60s and got out on April Fool's Day. In the early 70s, I married, raised three great kids, and took care of many others. Now, my grandchildren are my helpers.

I worked as a welder, machinist, and mechanic most of my life and as an illustrator for the last two years. I loved building large machinery and parts. Many times improving or redesigning systems or structures. I liked designing special tools the most.

Horses are my favorite animal, and at one time I owned 18. Hunting was always my favorite hobby, and I hunted 20 to 30 times a year when I was young.

I am now in my last battle. I have cancer and hope to live long enough to see my grandchildren graduate, and to complete the series I am painting at this time, part of which is posted on this website.
