A limited edition print is an original image limited to a predetermined print quantity. The edition is often signed by the artist and individual prints are always numbered. Limited edition prints gain in value as time passes, with the lower numbers in an edition often becoming the most valuable. Some limited edition prints are eventually worth thousands of dollars, depending on the total number of editions, their rarity, and condition.

Marie Buchfink received her teaching degree at Ohio Northern University and acquired post graduate work at Maryville College, St. Louis, Missouri; Delta College, Saginaw, Michigan; and Des Moines Area Community College, Des Moines, Iowa.

Marie Buchfink began painting full time after a successful teaching career as an art instructor in the Ohio school system. Marie has exhibited her work throughout the Midwest and the Southwestern United States, winning numerous museum awards and exhibiting in galleries and one man shows.

Ms. Buchfink's paintings have been collected by many major companies, private individuals and museums. The spirituality expressed in Marie Buchfink's artwork sets her apart from most realistic artists in that it expresses her deep concern for man's humanity towards man and all forms of nature.

"My goal is to touch the sensitivity of those who view my work, and to help bring awareness of spiritual worth in all of God's creation," Ms. Buchfink says of her work.
