Shoshone-Bannock History in Idaho PART I OF II: 2008's historic Idaho Democratic Convention, held in Boise, ID, June 12-14, invited Idaho Native American Tribal members from the Shoshone-Bannock/Fort Hall, Shoshone-Paiute/Duck Valley, Nez Perce, and Coeur D'Alene tribal communities to take an active part in the convention activities. On June 12th, the Idaho AFL-CIO hosted a Democratic picnic for convention goers. Mr. Ted Howard, Cultural Resource Director, Duck Valley, spoke to picnic participants about the Shoshone-Paiute-Bannock history in the Boise Valley area. 9:49 minutes.
Part II-Grand Entry, Flag Ceremony and Recessional All convention tribal members participated in the grand entry at the beginning of the June 13th Idaho Democratic Convention gathering followed by a flag ceremony and presentation by Mr. Lee Juan Tyler, Council Member, Shoshone-Bannock/Fort Hall community. Fort Hall and Duck Valley singers and drummers played songs for the grand entry, flag ceremony and recessional.

The Coushattas come to the Big Thicket area of East Texas.
1805
Approximately one thousand Alabamas come to Tyler County's Peach Tree Village. The Alabama and Coushatta inter-tribal friendship becomes stronger as they roam and hunt the new land together.
Their homes are fashioned out of the abundant East Texas timber and the leaves of palmettos.

The Accohannock Indian Tribe is one of the oldest historical tribes in Maryland. The Tribal Office is located in Marion, MD, a small town just north of Crisfield. The Accohannocks originally inhabited the territory they called Accomack which, after colonization, became the Eastern Shore of Old Virginia and is presently the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia. The territory included the Chesapeake Bay home villages on the Annemessex River at present day Crisfield, MD, on the Accohannock Creek in Virginia and on the islands in the Chesapeake Bay.

the individaul members of the Terminated Mixed Blood Uinta Band of Ute Indians, and the news media from 11:00am to 3:00P.M.
Speakers will be: Attorney Dennis Chappabitty, Native American Federal Attorney and Attorney for Felter v. Norton and Bennie Earl LeBeau from Riverton, Wyo.
We invite all to come and join us after the
meeting in our "walk for Truth, Reconciliation, and justice." We will be walking from the Holiday Inn to the Pow Wow Grounds.
