| Lit->NA Poems: In a time long ago |
Posted on Saturday, March 26 @ 07:33:51 PST | |
In a time long ago
I dreamed a dream of long ago,
when you and I were young,
and meant to be.
When with our tribe we wandered,
far and wide and spoke the tongue,
of the cherokee.
When we hunted o'er the plains,
the mighty herds of buffelo,
through sun and wind and rains.
How we lived beside the river,
in our teepee warm and bright,
and beneath our soft warm blankets
made love all through the night.
Those were the days of happiness
that you have spent with me
and will again my darling
throughout eternity.
